MRYC pool rules

 

RULE #1: There are no lifeguards. By entering the pool area, you acknowledge that you, on behalf of yourself and any minor children, are assuming all associated risks. In no event shall Maumee River Yacht Club be responsible for damage to property or injury or death to persons.

RULE # 2: The facility, including the pool bar and pool decks, may only be utilized by MRYC members, guests in the presence of MRYC members, and ACY/ILYA members. Up to 4 guests may accompany MRYC members holding pool passes. The annual pool pass cost is $60.00 (including tax). Guests in excess of 4 per member and all AYC/ILYA members must pay a daily usage fee of $5/adult and $3/child 12 & under. Any unlimited number of an MRYC member's immediate family may utilize the facility without extra charge provided that the member is on-site. All patrons must identify themselves to, and sign in with, the bartender on duty, and pay the daily fee if appropriate. MRYC reserves the right to modify usage fees in connection with special events.

RULE # 2.1: Blue Gavel Members that are not members or affiliated with AYC or ILYA have no privileges at the pool

RULE # 2.2: Any Guest, sponsored by any Member, shall be allowed 4 visits per year, after which the guest must purchase a pool membership or join the club.

RULE # 2.3: AYC / ILYA Members are allowed 4 visits per year at $5.00 per visit, after which they much purchase a pool membership or club membership.

RULE #3: No outside food or beverages of any kind are permitted in the pool area and pool bar. For your convenience, the pool bar will be staffed at all times while the pool is open and a nice assortment of snacks and beverages for both kids and adults will be available at all times.

RULE #4: Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or designated caregiver, 14 years of age or older.

RULE #5: Showers are available in the men's and ladies' shower rooms and are to be used prior to pool use.

RULE #6: Pets are not permitted in the pool area.

RULE #7: Glass containers are not permitted anywhere in the pool area, pool deck, children's play area, MAUMEE RIVER YACHT CLUB POOL RULES Adopted June 2014 2 | P a g e and pool bar.

RULE #8: Running is not permitted in the pool area.

RULE #9: Dunking and rough-housing is not permitted in the pool area.

RULE #10: Diving in water less than nine feet, back dives, somersaults, “cannon balls” from the side of the pool or any other unsafe activities are not permitted.

RULE #11: Spitting, spouting or nose-blowing in the pool is strictly prohibited.

RULE #12: No chairs, loungers, or furniture/umbrellas permitted in any parts of the pool.

RULE #13: No hanging from the deep-end rope divider.

RULE #14: All patrons are responsible for cleaning up their area after use, and for returning chairs, loungers, umbrellas, tables and toys to their appropriate locations.

RULE #15: The grill located by the pump room is for special-occasion use only, and is not intended for general member use. Grills for general member use are located in the picnic area by the ladies' shower room.
